ABOUT US.
Who We Are
Doors of Grace was birthed out of personal experiences surrounding incarceration of family members and a desire to make sure people who were returning into society after incarceration do so in a manner that will reduce recidivism. The hurt and pain associated with incarceration hits like no other, yet we turn away from those needing relief and healing from the effects of incarceration.
My heart has been drawn to the prisoner and their families because I am a living witness to the pain of having a loved one incarcerated.God spoke to my heart clearly in 2019 giving me the vision of a transition house for people released from prison and reentering into society and it was to be called Doors of Grace.
Doors of Grace was birthed out of the struggle, and founded in April of 2021 to advocate for the well-being of every member of our community and for those returning to our communities after incarceration. We are committed to helping families in their journey toward a better life and future during and after incarceration…. we will love out loud.
Gretna is passionate about showing others the love of God, encouraging young people, and helping women and families who are living with the pain of incarceration. The desire to see people live a transformed life after incarceration is the driving force behind Doors of Grace.
